PRESIDENT VOWS FARM BILL VETO - URGENT ACTION NEEDED!

As the Farm Bill moves towards a final vote in the House and Senate this week, it is imperative that Members of Congress hear from their constituents on this important legislation. President Bush has signaled that he will veto the bill, and so the House and Senate will have to muster enough votes to override the veto. With food and fuel prices on the rise and a steadily weakening economy, passing the Farm Bill has never been more important. The more than $10 billion in funding for federal nutrition programs and critical reforms to the Food Stamp Program will provide much needed relief to the 35 million Americans facing food insecurity this year. America's Second Harvest-the Nation's Food Bank Network, urges you to call your Members of Congress and ask them to vote in favor of the Farm Bill.
