I have started a micro-enterprise project for refugee and immigrant artisans and artists and vendors of artisan product. We have just gone under the wing of the Cardea Center for Women: www.cardeacenterforwomen.org. We make opportunities for refugee artisans, artists and vendors to sell items for supplemental income and to help them share their culture and enrich us all.
Many immigrants of the past have overcome poverty through micro-enterprise, using the skills they come with and turning them in to micro-enterpreneurial opportunity. Though not for all, I believe micro-enterprise can be beneficial to many, as supplemental income and for ultimate complete self-sufficiency.
Would there be people willing to share their knowledge of Micro-enterpise and have this topic for discussion.
